« Art is a continuum and we are all connected. »
Laurence De Valmy is an established artist based in the United States whose work has been featured in solo, group exhibitions and major art fairs internationally.
Her work explores art history and our relationship with social networks through paintings and videos as NFTs. Inspired by the personal stories of artists, she explores the links between famous artists in a humorous and clever way through anachronic social media of the past, based on the aesthetics of Instagram and TikTok. Her recent body of work explores the place of Hashtags in our communication through text based paintings.
Her work was featured on HBO the Undoing and in 2021, she was invited to create a public art installation displayed in Summit (NJ, USA).
