« You may ask of my protagonists, "Where do they come from? Where are they going?" The answer, of course, is "nowhere." »
Lionel Le Jeune is a prizewinning sculptor, painter and draftsman from France with extensive exhibition experience. Inspired by great predecessors such as Hopper and Balthus, he constructs expressive sculptures full of movement and strength, and composes oil paintings that portray the anonymity of the urban world. His works are a result of a combination of a traditional artistic language and a modern, inventive rigour.
